There was once a young man who had a week to get an answer.
It was a question he had been wanting to ask for while.

On the 1st day of this week, his flight got cancelled by the Microsoft glitch.
He was not deterred and booked his flight as soon as he could.

On the 2nd day, he took a plane on his way to getting the answer he wanted.

On the 3rd day, Typhoon Carina came in.
And all his planned flights were cancelled again.
This time, an elder said a prayer for him.
And told him this .
“Do not be discouraged. God has a plan. He has gone before you”.
His answer was “ I am not discouraged. My heart is full.”
The elder was happy for him.

On the 4th day, his flight was delayed for 5 hours.
On the 4th hour when things didn’t look so hopeful for him, the elder told him to have faith.
His answer was still hopeful.

She asked him if he still wanted to continue.

He said “Yes, of course for she is the love of my life”.
And the elder saw that it was good he was determined.
On that day he got the answer he wanted.

It was a yes.

And “the heavens drapes parted”, as the elder’s prayers said that it would.
But that day he also stepped on a sea urchin.
But he was still good.

On the 5th day, his flights were cancelled again.
But he was not deterred.
He found a way back home.
That night, a gaggle of his young guests knew he had finally received his answer.

On the 6th day it was an older and wiser crowd with whom he shared this precious news, and they gave their blessing.

On the 7th day he left, with a bit of a stomach ache.
But he left happy for the “love of his life” had said yes.
